Market Alerts Guide
Stay informed about market movements with customizable alerts. Get notified when prices hit targets, change significantly, or large trades occur.
What Are Market Alerts?
Market Alerts notify you when specific conditions are met on markets you're watching. Instead of constantly checking prices, set up alerts and PolyBot will message you when something important happens.
Alert Types
PolyBot supports three types of alerts:
Price Target (PRICE_MET)
Get notified when a market outcome reaches a specific price.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Threshold | Target price in cents (1¢ – 99¢) |
| Direction | Automatically set based on current price (above or below) |
Example: Alert when "Yes" reaches 65¢.
Price Change (PRICE_CHANGE)
Get notified when a price moves by a certain percentage from its current level.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Threshold | Percentage change (e.g., 10 for 10%) |
| Direction | Both directions (up or down) |
Example: Alert when price changes by 15% in either direction.
After a Price Change alert triggers, you can Reset it to start tracking from the new price level.
Big Trade (BIG_TRADE)
Get notified when a large trade occurs on the market.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Threshold | Minimum trade size in USD |
Example: Alert when someone trades $5,000+ on this market.

- Use Price Change alerts to catch sudden movements.
- Use Big Trade alerts to follow whale activity.
- Mute temporarily if you need a break from notifications.
- Create alerts on markets you don't own to watch for buying opportunities.
Troubleshooting
- Not receiving alerts? Check if the alert is muted. Unmuting happens automatically after 1 hour.
- Alert not triggering? Verify the threshold is set correctly. Price targets use cents (e.g., 65 for 65¢).
